Hon Charles Mok
Legislative Councillor (Information Technology)
Charles Mok, is the Legislative Councillor representing the Information Technology Functional Constituency. He has been serving the ICT industry for more than 20 years. He is currently the Vice Chairman of the Professional Commons, Honorary President of the Hong Kong Information Technology Federation and Founding Chairman of the Internet Society Hong Kong.
Charles is active in public services with a view to upholding the core values of Hong Kong of which include democracy, liberty, human rights, rule of law and integrity, and is serving on various advisory bodies in the Hong Kong government, Hospital Authority, WKCDA, and higher educational institutions etc.
Charles graduated from Purdue University in the United States with his Bachelor and Master degrees of Science in Computer and Electrical Engineering.
Ir Dr WONG Chun-kau, Jolly
Advisor to the IET Academy Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET)
Dr Jolly Wong is the Chief Police Telecommunications Engineer and Chief Technology Officer of the Hong Kong Police (HKP). He oversees the formulation and execution of policies and strategies with regard to information security and communications technology. Dr Wong has distinguished himself in the technology profession by receiving the Outstanding Contribution to TETRA Award 2008, for his stewardship of mission-critical, large-scale, complex technology programme to develop the Next Generation of Command, Control and Communications System for HKP. Subsequently, he was appointed Ambassador for Asia by the TETRA and Critical Communications Association in 2010.
Jolly has been an active and passionate Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) volunteer for over two decades. He is the former Vice President, Trustee and Chairman of the IET Council, the Far East Region Network and the Hong Kong Local Network. With a deep understanding of the importance of volunteers’ contributions to the IET’s success in establishing and growing a global knowledge network including cyber security and resilience, he strengthens shared values across learned activities and its many constituencies especially involving young people to address particular challenges in a digital world.
Academically Jolly is an Adjunct Professor at the Institute of Smart City, Shanghai University and at the Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications.
